A brief interlude.

I have to admit that my personal workload is rather ambitious at the moment, but I’m not going to let that stop me.

Aside from having my sights firmly set on having a collection of novellas out by the middle of 2014 (I’m two stories in and I hope to add another one or two soon) I’m also (still) managing to churn out at least two short stories a week that I hope will find a home sooner rather than later. But regarding the latter, I’m in no real rush. I’m just enjoying the trip.

If that wasn’t enough, I’ve also committed myself to writing at least one short piece a day because ... well ...firstly I actually wanted to see if I could do it. And secondly, I wanted to get the seeds floating around my head out. That is not to say they’re lesser ideas, because they’re not, they’re just ideas that seem to spring up from time to time while I’m in the middle of writing when my muse decides to take a metaphorical dump inside my head.

These characters, and the stories themselves, are tiny notions of an idea that would never stretch out into longer stories. But they work, I think, in little portions. Something you can read over breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

And right now, despite one or two slight technical difficulties, I’ve managed to keep relatively on track.

I suppose time will tell if people get bored, but in the long run I hope I can put something out there that people like, that they may consider sharing among friends and family. I don’t know if it will happen, but I live in hope. But if not, well, that's all right, that's just fine, because I'm doing this for fun. I'm spreading my literary wings - for better or worse - to see where it takes me.

And it is fun!

Still, it’s going to be a long journey. One peppered with occasional potholes, I’m sure, but as of right now I’m enjoying every minute of the walk I've got ahead of me. And, with a pinch of luck, I hope everyone else is too.

Thanks for reading.
