Do they always speak in code?

I seem to be suffering a chain of rejections lately. It's hard to tell if it's the story which is no good, or, like they say, it's just not for them. Perhaps the latter is code for the former. Who knows. Either way, I may go over it again and see what I can make of it. Perhaps I sent out one of those stories that just fall out of my head and were never designed to be sent out to anyone - ever.

Do you guys have any light to shed on this? I can't be the only one out there, surely. Discuss.
