Social networking sites have always played a large part of my life. It
started with Facebook and on through to Myspace and so on and so on. I never
clung on to too many of them because I found it became increasingly difficult,
if repetition can become difficult, to maintain each and every in a single
sitting. Besides, I did not personally relish seeing the same unashamed candour
in multiple browser windows, nor did I ever find relish in brief posts alongside
pictures of chubby, ruddy faced, infants dribbling over its first cookie, exclaiming,
with little or no reservation, that baby did a boo-boo. So my interest steadily
waned, and believing I could moderate what I saw to a point in time where I may
have wanted to see it, I eventually settled on Facebook.
Everyone who knows me is
somewhat judgemental about this, but I reserve the right to pick and chose the
articles I read, and when.
I’m such a bad man, I’m sure you’ll agree.
Don't get me wrong, I will celebrate the first time of anything, within reason, but once it's done it’s time to move on.
Rant over.
