Where did it all start for you ...?

For me, it started in the 80's. That was the decade I saw my first horror movie. I was probably too young (I'd have been about 7 or so, I think), but that didn't stop me. And do you know what? I turned out to be quite a well rounded individual.

Kind of.

In my opinion the '80's marked the end of honest horror movies. Sure, there are probably one or two that came afterwards made with the same kind of passion,but they are so few and far between I imagine you could quite possibly count them on one hand.

Which brings me to a question: where did it start for you? What movie inspired or terrified you?

The first film(s) I caught I caught back to back in a dark room purely by chance, and I never looked back again. I mean that quite literally. Really. And as I casually stroll towards 40, only one of those two films still manages to put the fear of God into me for so many reasons.
