Taking my time with things; and this is why.

For those of you who've been around long enough to read my Twitter feeds or see my Facebook page updates (I’m trying to stay away from a fan page right now, but, if things work out I may have one ... one day), then you’ll probably be wondering where all the updates about my forthcoming collection are.

Well I’m sorry to say, it’s not going to happen just yet. But if you’re the patient sort, you’ll see it will.

The only reason it has not happened just yet even though I have made various promises is that I want to avoid missing out on a story idea because I didn’t happen to hammer it out quick enough. And if there is one thing I have learnt from posting outlines and spoilers is that there is always someone (somewhere) out there who’ll take your idea and run with it because you were just too darn slow. I made that mistake once. I posted up an idea and BOOM some months later it was flying up the kindle short story chart. Needless-to-say, the story was the same but with entirely differently named characters.

I want to avoid people thinking I’m a hack. They may not think that at all, but the chances are someone out there will.

Does that sound lame?

If it does, and I hope it doesn't  I apologize  But at the moment I still have a lot of short story work I want to see done and circulated while I finish working on my novella collection. I usually aim for 3k works on the novella a night, and work on the short stories during the day. So it shouldn't take me much longer.

I promise.

Thanks for you time.
